It is with great sadness that we report the death of Patrick Jordan

Patrick was an active and valued board member of the Centre and was awarded an Honorary Doctorate by Buckinghamshire New University in recognition of his contribution to event safety through his work at Mojo Barriers.

Chris Kemp, Executive Dean speaking, on behalf of the University, said "It is difficult to put into words what Patrick meant to me personally and to the University in general. He was a true gentleman and lately a scholar whose influence and dedication knew no bounds. His intelligent and supportive personality and great warmth made him a key member of the International Centre for Crowd Management and Security Studies Board. Having him accept his Doctorate from the University was one of our proudest moments.  My heart goes out to his family and friends.  To have known Patrick would have been enough but I feel fortunate enough to have counted him as a friend. "

Mark Hamilton, MD of G4S Events and Head of the International Centre for Crowd Management and Security Studies at Bucks New University said this" Patrick, your legacy will live on the dedicated manner in which you attended to the very important work of improving the safety for many millions of concert goers around the world.

To Claire, Sebastian and William, please accept the most sincere condolences from my fellow Board Members and I who had the honour of working with Patrick at the International Centre for Crowd Management and Security Studies at Buck New University.

Patrick, it was an absolute pleasure to have known you as a valued friend and associate.  Many have spoken eloquently about the impact you had on their lives, for me your early departure from this world will be felt by the empty space left that was occupied by your immense intelligence, gentle humour and friendly presence.  Rest In Peace."
