Short Courses - Overview

Crowd Management & Security

This series of one or two day courses can either be taken as "one-off" certificates or in a group of five leading to a Diploma in Crowd Management & Security Development.

The programmes are taught by top operational managers or academics with a security or crowd management background and provide both knowledge and applied learning - invaluable for work in the industry. These programmes have been created to give short sharp bursts of knowledge, applicable at once to current security and/or crowd management situations.

These programmes are available through the International Centre for Crowd Management & Security Studies at Buckinghamshire New University and can be booked in three ways:

• By attending a course in the UK at the University
• By attending an accredited training provider across Europe
• By booking your own set of programmes in your own country and utilising experts provided by the University to teach on the programme

General Security Courses

In addition to the various degree programmes available, the Centre recently launched a series of short courses aimed at both security professionals and those non-security professionals, who may be responsible for safety and security functions within their wider management roles. These courses, completed over 18 weeks by distance learning can be used as prior credits in selected degree programmes.
